BLUETOOTH GUIDE
What is a BLE
advertisement?
Bluetooth Low Energy devices periodically broadcast short radio messages called advertisements. These broadcasts let a nearby scanner notice that a device is nearby, even when no active connection exists.
IT IS NOT A CONNECTION
An advertisement is just a signal. It tells a nearby scanner that a device is transmitting, not that the device has connected to your system.
IT ISN’T A BATTERY READING
BLE advertisements can reveal basic identity or proximity information, but they do not automatically provide a precise battery percentage.
WHY A SCAN HELPS
Near-range scans help identify devices that are present in the environment. They are useful for discovery, but they should not be treated as a proof of a live connection or accessory charge level.
BATTERYPULSE VIEW
BatteryPulse keeps discovery results separate from connection states so the user can see what is nearby without assuming more than the signal supports.
