What is BatteryPulse?
BatteryPulse is a Windows desktop companion that lists Bluetooth devices Windows reports as connected and scans for nearby Bluetooth Low Energy advertisements.
Which platforms can I use BatteryPulse on?
BatteryPulse currently targets Windows desktop. Android, iOS, macOS, and Linux builds are not available.
Does a nearby scan pair or connect my device?
No. The scan detects nearby BLE advertisements only. It does not pair with an accessory or connect to it. Results are separate from devices Windows reports as connected.
What is the difference between paired and connected?
Paired means Windows has saved an association with a device. Connected means Windows currently reports an active Bluetooth connection. A paired accessory may be switched off, out of range, or disconnected.
What is a BLE advertisement?
It is a short Bluetooth Low Energy broadcast that nearby devices can detect. Detecting one does not prove that the device is paired, connected, or ready to communicate.
Can I download BatteryPulse now?
There is no public installer link yet. Early access information will be shared when available. Contact us by email if you would like to ask about updates.
Does BatteryPulse cost anything?
BatteryPulse is planned to be free. No paid plan or purchase is offered on this website.
Does BatteryPulse need an account or internet connection?
No account or registration is required. Core app information is stored locally; Bluetooth features use Windows and the device’s Bluetooth adapter. Internet access may be needed for website links or system services outside BatteryPulse.
What information does BatteryPulse collect?
The BatteryPulse app does not collect or transmit your profile, app, or Bluetooth scan data. The website has no analytics or tracking scripts. Hosting providers may process technical request data to deliver and protect the website; see our privacy notice.
Does BatteryPulse work offline?
The app stores its profile and saved app data locally and does not rely on a BatteryPulse account or cloud service. Bluetooth discovery still depends on Windows, the local adapter, permissions, and the accessory’s state.
Which Windows version is required?
The minimum supported Windows version has not yet been confirmed. We will update the compatibility page after it is verified.
Why might a Bluetooth device be missing?
A paired device is not necessarily connected. A nearby BLE scan can only detect devices that are advertising within range. Adapter state, Windows settings, permissions, and accessory behavior can also affect what appears.
Does BatteryPulse pair devices or manage connections?
No. BatteryPulse displays Windows-reported connections and nearby BLE advertisements; it does not pair accessories or control Bluetooth connections.
